MWHIT INDEPENDENT SCHOLAR AWARD IN MORMON WOMEN’S HISTORY
AWARD AMOUNT: $500

All funds awarded by MWHIT are supported by donations to the Mormon Women’s History Initiative Team, a 501(c)(3) organization. Applications will be evaluated by the MWHIT board. For further information about MWHIT awards, please contact [email protected].
The MWHIT Independent Scholar Award is a one-time grant of $500 awarded to an individual not connected (as student or faculty) with a university or college. It is intended to be used as support for research efforts specifically involving Mormon women’s history. Qualified projects may be new or ongoing. Award funds may be used to cover expenses associated with the qualified project (travel, supplies, etc.) but may not be used to cover salary or capital equipment. Funds should be used between June 1, 2023 and May 31, 2024. The awardee will be required to report to the MWHIT board within a calendar year of the date funds were awarded, detailing how the funds were used and applied to the research project.
